J.R. Barry, trainer of Akira, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have burst a blood vessel on endoscopic examination

J.F. Levins, trainer of Dashwood (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge made a coarse respiratory noise in the straight and commented that the gelding ran without a tongue strap which had been previously used when successful. He further reported that he would expect his charge to improve from todays run

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Coldstream (GB), trained by P.D. Deegan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
